DS switches have been designed for applications requiring multiple set points, but with only one process connection. Typical applications are for alarm and trip functions. Some other are to keep pressure between two limits HI and LO, with two independent signals. Other applications are for HI and HI-HI limits or LO and LO-LO limits in the same pressure switch. Pressure switches can be supplied with SPDT, 2SPDT hermetically sealed (silver or gold plated) microswitches or other standard options. Typical application areas are in power sector, pharma, oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical & other industries.

Orion Instruments has introduced a new range of temperature switches, ideally suited for harsh and corrosive environments often found in many process, industrial and flame-proof applications. These switches can be mounted directly or remotely with capillary. These are available in flameproof and weatherproof models with an IP 66 enclosure protection and ranges from 25ºC up to 215ºC(other ranges available on request). These switches have Baseefa, ATEX and IECEx approvals and hence can be used worldwide. Repeatability for these switches is ± 2% of FSR. These switches find its application in process industry in general, for hygienic applications in the Food & Pharmaceutical industry in specific and also in Oil and Gas sectors like oil and gas pipelines.
